21-24 septembre 2021 - 7th International Conference on Crack Paths (on-line conference)

Le 11-03-2021

Dear Colleagues,

It is a pleasure for us to invite you to submit abstracts to the Symposium TS3: "Crack Path in VHCF regime", that will be held during the 7th International Conference on Crack Paths (21-24 September 2021, on-line conference)

Crack Paths 2021 is the 7th edition in a series of successful conferences: Parma in 2003 and 2006, Vicenza in 2009, Gaeta in 2012, Ferrara in 2015, and Verona in 2018. Because of the sanitary situation this edition will on-line.

This symposium aims to assess the current knowledge about crack paths in Very High Cycle Fatigue
(VHCF) regime or at very low crack growth rate, and to evaluate the crack path under different loadings (tension, torsion, multiaxial loadings) on several materials, environments and boundary conditions. Furthermore, papers on test of components and testing machines to perform uniaxial, biaxial or multiaxial fatigue tests in very VHCF domain are welcome whatever the material: metallic alloys, composites, etc..

Regarding VHCF several issues (frequency effect, strain rate, temperature effect, environment, loading control, ...) need more investigation. The main objective of this Symposium is to bring together researchers, engineers, and students to present and exchange recent data and new ideas, allowing an interesting multidisciplinary discussion.

Keywords: VHCF; Crack Path; Experiments; Modeling; Numerical simulation.

Please, visit the webpage http://cp2021.crackpaths.org/ for more information and abstract submission.

Best regards,
The symposium organisers,

Prof. Luis REIS and Prof. Thierry PALIN-LUC
